The Skirted Heifer and Front Range Barbeque are going head-to-head in the final round of The Gazette's Burger Bracket Championship. The 2024 Burger Bracket began a month ago and thousands of votes were cast for the best burger in Colorado Springs. The finalists are the Skirted Heifer and Front Range Barbeque, who survived four rounds to secure their spot in the championship round. The first round saw a landslide win over Odyssey Gastropub and a 278-vote lead over The Green Line Grill. In the Final Four, Skirting Heifer defeated Drifter's Hamburgers by 39 votes. Front Range won against Mountain Shadows Restaurant in Round 1 and advanced to Round 2 after winning by 100 votes. In Round 4, Front Range defeated Brakeman's Burgers, dominating on all voting platforms to secure its place in the final.

The 2024 Burger Bracket kicked off a month ago and thousands of votes flooded in supporting local burger joints.
The bracket started off with 32 of the best places to get a burger, and with the help of Gazette readers, we now have our finalists.
This year's Burger Bracket Champions are the Skirted Heifer and Front Range Barbeque.
The two eateries battled it out and survived four rounds to secure their spot in the championship round.
As the final round begins, let's have a look at how the two finalists got here:
The Skirted Heifer's Burger Bracket journey started with a landslide win (896-261) over Odyssey Gastropub in a Round 1 victory that was one for the books.
In Round 2, they went up against another fan favorite, The Green Line Grill, and came out victorious with a 278-vote lead.
Round 3 was a close call for the burger joint as they went head-to-head against The Public House. Skirted Heifer came out victorious after votes from Instagram carried them to the finish line.
In the Final Four, the Skirted Heifer saw its closest matchup yet as it battled Drifter's Hamburgers. The restaurant secured its place in the championship round after beating Drifter's by 39 votes.
This popular BBQ eatery faced off against a restaurant just down the street in the bracket's initial round. Front Range took on Mountain Shadows Restaurant in Round 1 and advanced to Round 2 after winning by 100 votes.
In Round 2, Front Range battled it out against Short Stop Burgers. . The barbeque restaurant defeated the drive-thru burger joint with a razor-thin lead of 49 votes to secure its spot in the Elite 8.
Front Range had a close call in Round 3 as it went up against Cy's Drive-In. With the help of votes from Instagram, the eatery took its place in the Final Four.
In Round 4, Front Range glided past its competitor, Brakeman's Burgers, dominating on every voting platform to secure its place in the championship round.
