Future of Elon Musk and Tesla are on the line this week as shareholders vote on massive pay package

A live TV news station covering breaking news and traffic for Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Southern Colorado with a strong investigative team Tesla shareholders are voting on the restoration of CEO Elon Musk's $44.9 billion pay package, which was overturned by a Delaware judge earlier this year. If shareholders vote against the reinstating the all-stock compensation, Musk could potentially transfer his AI research to another company. If approved, this would allow him to shift his focus to AI and robotics, which Musk says is Tesla's future. However, even with reapproval, there is uncertainty as Musk has threatened to develop AI elsewhere if he doesn't get a 25% stake in Tesla.

DETROIT (AP) — If Tesla shareholders vote against restoring Elon Musk’s $44.9 billion pay package Thursday, the CEO could deliver on threats to take artificial intelligence research to one of this other companies. If they approve the all-stock compensation that was thrown out by a Delaware judge this year, that would likely keep him at the company so he can shift to AI and robotics, which Musk says is Tesla’s future. But even with reapproval at the annual shareholders’ meeting there would be uncertainty. Musk has threatened on X, his social medial platform, to develop AI elsewhere if he doesn’t get a 25% stake in Tesla.
