Brandon Sanchez and Caden Wagner both scored four hits and contributed five RBI and five runs scored. Jake Storey, Hunter Gibson, Wilbur Berrios, Jack Tuttle and Jake Carvajal all pitched six scoreless innings out of the bullpen. The team, currently 6-22 overall this season, has won six of its last seven games. The Bears are set to begin a three-game series against defending Summit League champion Oral Roberts.

The Northern Colorado baseball team won its fifth straight game Wednesday with an 8-5 victory over the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

Brandon Sanchez and Caden Wagner both had four hits and they combined for five RBI and five runs scored.

Jake Storey, Hunter Gibson, Wilbur Berrios, Jack Tuttle and Jake Carvajal combined to toss six scoreless innings out of the bullpen, allowing five hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Storey earned the win, his first of the season, after giving up one hit, no runs with a strikeout and a walk.

UNC, 6-22 overall this season, has also won six of its last seven games after starting the season 0-21. The Bears swept a three-game series last weekend against Summit League opponent South Dakota State. UNC won two of three March 22-23 against University of Nebraska Omaha, also in the Summit League.

UNC returns home Friday to start a three-game series against defending Summit League champion Oral Roberts. The Bears (5-4 Summit League) are scheduled to host Oral Roberts (2-7, 10-19) at 2 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday and Sunday at Jackson Field.
